Day 1: Departure from Scandinavia
You fly from Scandinavia to Sri Lanka and arrive the next day.
Day 2: Arrival in Sri Lanka – Negombo
After landing at Colombo Airport, you will be picked up and taken to your hotel in Negrombo. Then you have time on your own and can rest up after the flight. Overnight at Hotel Jetwing Lagoon in deluxe room, Negombo.
Day 3: Negombo – Sigiriya
After breakfast, transfer to Sigiriya departs. You spend the night in the Garden Dwelling room at the lovely Vil Uyana in Sigiriya
Day 4: Excursion to Polonnaruwa
After breakfast you go to Polonnaruwa. The former capital was built between the 11th and 12th centuries and is considered by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. See the amazing ruins of the royal palace and take a look at the four Buddha statues carved straight out of the rocks. Do not forget to enjoy for a moment the view of the river Parakrama Samudraya. In the evening you can admire the rock formations in Sigiriya, also known as the “Mountain of the Lion”. As you go up the stairs you will see the fascinating murals and hanging gardens, before reaching the top and being rewarded with a fantastic view. Day 5: Transfer to Kandy
After arriving in Kandy, you can do whatever you want during the day. Kandy is a charming old kingdom that is beautifully situated by a lake, surrounded by mountains, waterfalls and jungle. Wander the idyllic streets, take a walk at the bazaar or visit the city’s craft center. Also do not miss the “Tooth Temple” which according to legend houses a very sacred relic – one of the Buddha’s teeth. In the evening you can go and see a colorful performance with entertainment, music and magnificent costumes. Overnight in deluxe room at The Secret in Kandy.
Day 6: Spend the day on your own in picturesque Kandy

Day 7: Train trip to Ella
Today it takes off towards the station where you hop on board and begin your train journey through Ella’s beautiful landscape. Once in Ella, you spend the rest of the day as you please. If you are hungry for more experiences, we recommend a trip to the Ravana waterfall. Overnight at hotel 98 Acres in standard room, in Ella.
Day 8: Enjoy your holiday in Ella
You spend the day on your own. Head to Little Adams Peak or relax in the lovely surroundings of the hotel. Overnight stay on 98 Acres in standard rooms, in Ella.
Day 9: Udawalawe National Park
Today you go to Udawalawe, which is one of the country’s oldest national parks. You sleep on a campsite on the edge of the park where the feeling of freedom is wonderful. Overnight in tent in Athgira River Camp, Udawalawe.
Day 10: Safari and transfer to Mirissa
Today awaits an early start and a morning safari in the park, with breakfast included. The park is one of the oldest in Sri Lanka and large elephant herds hide here. After some hopefully really unforgettable nature experiences, the journey continues towards the seaside resort of Mirissa. On arrival at Mirissa you do whatever you want during the day. In the coming days, you can calmly digest the many impressions from your eventful journey. Relax by the pool, sunbathe on the beach or explore the city. Day 11-13: Mirissa sunbathing and swimming
If you feel like going on an excursion one of these days, the town of Galle is an excellent alternative and you can see the old fortress or set off on whale watching. Various types of whales are hiding off the coast of Mirissa, not least the blue whale, which is the world’s largest animal. Overnight at Number One in Mirissa.
Day 14: Return to Scandinavia
After an exciting holiday, it’s off to home. If you have time before your flight abroad departs, you can treat yourself to one last dip in the waves, or perhaps buy the last souvenirs. You will be picked up at the hotel and driven to the airport. The time depends on when your flight departs.
Day 15: Arrival in Scandinavia
Arrival time to Scandinavia depends on which airline you fly with.
