Beyond the style, the Levi’s thought of resistance when he developed his line Skateboarding, the jeans received the addition of Cordura®, increasing the abrasion resistance, and Lycra® T400® to ensure a greater elasticity. Other critical points to be taken care of, as the seams and the hook, they have been reinforced with extra points, in addition to back pockets with double layer and a pocket hidden in the waistband for storing belongings.
With these increments the brand hopes to meet the skaters who want performance on the track and styling off of them, offering in the Levi’s Skateboarding Collection, a Collection of basic pieces that are timeless that have been developed and tested by skaters, and now arise repaginadas.
But the relationship of Levi’s with skate is not only fashionable, in march 2013 the brand joined the 2er and HolyStoked Collective of India to convene a team of skateboarders, journalists, photographers and film producers from different countries and build in Bangalore, the first track free skate of India. The crew of 34 builders worked 16 days in a row, using tons of material for the construction of the track and up to the legends of skateboarding such as Omar Salazar, Stefan Janoski, Chet Childress and Al Partanen attend to help in the works!
With this endeavor, both by Levi’s, as the 2er wish to encourage the growing skateboard community of India, due to its partnership managed to gather skaters of global communities to provide an amount of skateboards enough for the HolyStoked mount a school. These courses are also offered English classes to local children who, under other circumstances, would not have access to these resources.
